When Rayelyn and Cayden were here for pictures

we also took a few family shots. We didn't take many.

It was sprinkling and we were wet and cold and wanted

to get Cayden into the studio before he got tired of cooperating.

He did great, but you can only expect so much

from a One Year Old!

And... all they were wanting was one beautiful updated

family portrait.

So we got this one!

Cayden's ONE YEAR Session!

Kids simply grow up too fast!

I simply can't believe that this little guy is

already turning ONE!

But... he is definately acting like a

ONE YEAR OLD!

He's learning to walk and to talk and he's

making lots of cute, cute faces!

And he's learning how to use his good looks and

his handsome smile to get just what he wants!

How could you say no to that face?

The Perfect Portraits Is Not Always Posed

Just look at these darling children!

I simply love this shot!

If you've ever tried to take a picture of two

children this young you will know how

to appreciate it!

Rayelyn recently turned two!

And Cayden is turning one!

So - when posing them it can be quite tricky

to snap the picture before they have moved!

However, once they move, you might

accidently get a cuter picture than the one you

had posed!

That was the case in this portrait!

They struck their own pose....

And while doing so, I captured their sweet,

loving personalities!

Alyssa Senior 2012

Alyssa is a local home schooler

who is graduating from high school!

One of her requests for senior pictures

was the Railroad Tracks!

And I just loved these!

Although it was not quite green outside when

these were taken, the weather cooperated

and we got beautiful light!

(when it wasn't sprinkling on us)

Emily's College Graduation Pictures

It's been a busy spring season, so I haven't had many opportunities to update my blog. I've been doing basketball, soccer, graduation, family and children's portraits... and there is no way I can

post them all... so, I'll just choose a few highlights to share!

Here is Emily!

Emily was refreshingly sweet!

She seemed like a wholesome, down to earth

young lady and there was such an honesty

to her. Just refreshing!

She's a girl who knows who she

is and what she wants out of life....

there is nothing pretentious about her!

I loved that!

She was a joy to work with!

Olivia's Cake Smash!

Basketball

I haven't been doing many portraits lately,

because it is basketball season and I

have been busy with basketball pictures!

Normally, I don't post a lot of my sports photos,

but this team was just too cute not to share!

I could be a little partial, though.

I've been taking this little girl's picture

since she was about 3 and playing soccer

at the YMCA!

It's easy to become attached to children I see over

and over again, from season to season.

Especially those who are as well behaved

and mannerly as this little girl.

She is a sweetheart!

And she always wears a smile!

For this ALL GIRL team I got to do two team pictures!

I used this one for the girls Memory Mates!

And this one for the Coach! He wanted to be

photographed in a traditional pose

but I liked the cute and girly pose for

the girls!

Briley & Brecken

I'm not a huge fan of group pictures. I think every child needs pictures of their own. But... it's also nice to get a couple of siblings together. So, I did take some of Briley and Brecken together while they were here.

They got along so well, too!

She came in with her brother Brecken for pictures!

And she's just the sweetest little thing! She always has a smile on her face!

And she's just about as girly as a little girl can be!

But.... she still plays ball!

And probably hunts, fishes and rides four wheelers! Those things are in her blood. From the stories I hear her Momma is the first one in the family to bag a deer every year. I don't think the guys have much of a shot with her out there.... so they get their deer after she's gotten hers and gone home!

Brecken

His Grandma brought him all the way from Binger for pictures, so I hope she thinks we got enough great shots to make it worth her trip!

Anyway... I really enjoyed taking his pictures! I hope I get to see him again sometime, soon!

This is Madison! She just turned ONE and she came in for One Year Old Pictures!

But, keeping her in front of the camera to capture all of that was a bit of a challenge!

She's a busy little girl!

Brycen - 9 Months

Brycen is now a big, BUSY boy! He doesn't like to sit still. So, I tried putting him on this little washtub to keep him in front of the camera. It worked for a minute and then... he was ready to climb down!

So.... we gave him blocks to keep him occupied while he was in front of the camera. That was fun for another minute and then...

He gave us those puppy dog eyes!

Don't they just melt your heart?

And then.... he did this!

He was out like a light and he stayed where we put him!

Heather took Grace to the movies and Olivia stayed with me, so I decided to take a few pictures!

She loved the little pony!

She sat nicely for pictures, too! But - we didn't get any really big smiles!

I think she saves her BIG smiles for Momma!

Oh, well.... she'll be one soon and her Momma will be bringing her for pictures, so we'll get big smiles then!

Paisley 6 Months - Part #2

I did her newborn and one month pictures and she was sweet and beautiful in both of them, also.

And it seems that no matter how many babies I watch grow from a newborn to an infant - I am always amazed to see it happen again.

Babies are such amazing little things!

So cute and sweet and so loving!

And each one so special!

I just love them!

And Paisley is especially lovable!

I'm looking forward to seeing her again when she is ONE!
