Colin and Caden
I have been taking pictures of Colin and Caden since they were babies and it's been really fun watching them grow up. When Caden was a baby I took his picture every month - but now that he's older and not changing so rapidly, I see them a lot less often. This time, I couldn't believe how much they'd grown. But, as always, Colin was a perfect gentleman and Caden was full of personality. I love them both and personality shots are my favorite - so here, I've tried to show who they are! Fun loving, handsome and full of life..... just like boys should be!

Congratulations to Almor West Stars Boys Basketball Team
We had the opportunity to take pictures of the Boy's City Champions last night. I thought it was great that both the Boy and Girl City Championship Teams were teams that we do pictures for. This team is GREAT! The boys are fun to work with and their coach and his wife do everything possible to make things go smoothly for us. So, Congratulations to the Stars!

Class Portraits
The photography class that I teach met yesterday rather than tomorrow due to conflicting schedules. Anyway, we played in the studio and took tons of portraits. Here is mine - taken by Hannah, a wonderful young photographer. The photos of the students themselves are much cuter - but some of the students parents have concerns about having their child's picture posted on the internet - so all you get to see here is ME. Sorry! If you have a child in the class and would like to see the rest of the pictures e-mail me and I can send you log in information!

The First Day of SPRING!
It's the first day of spring and it is usually warm this time of year - but this is what it looks like today. It's really kind of funny, because Heather and Grace just made it home yesterday. When they left their home in Okinawa three weeks ago, Okinawa was hit with an earthquake. They stopped off in Hawaii and when they left Hawaii, Hawaii was hit with a tsumami. Now, they leave the states and we are hit with a snowstorm. But having them here was like a ray of sunshine, so we can still count ourselves blessed.
And the sun is supposed to shine again, soon. I think it's supposed to be 70 degrees on Tuesday!

Sesame Street Live!
We had a great time at Sesame Street Live! Elmo is Grace's favorite TV Character and she loved the whole show. And - you've got to give a lot of credit to any program that can keep one to three year olds completely entertained for over an hour. This was really one of the best musicals I've seen and I am so glad we went. I didn't get many pictures of Grace, though. It was DARK and she would rather look at Elmo than at my camera!

Busy, Busy, Busy.....
Yesterday morning started with Heather at the ER. We went back to pick up medicine and decided to deliver pictures while we were out. I was only going to deliver the pictures that went to the east side of town and then bring Heather and Grace home so Grace could take her nap, but Grace fell asleep in the car, so we delivered all the pictures. Then we came home for lunch and Andrew and Brandy came over. So, we went with them to look at a house and then to do some birthday shopping for my husband, Speedy, whose birthday is TODAY! We found what we think might be the perfect gift, bought it, and made arrangements to have it delivered and then went back home. Speedy came home with a humidifier he bought to help with Heather's breathing difficulty and found it missing a piece so that meant we would have to get out to take it back and get another one. Then Andrew and Brandy came in just before dinner and announced that they were now Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Patterson. They had been to the courthouse to look into getting married and decided to go ahead and get married while they were there. They still plan to have a ceremony in October, though, so those of us who missed the original event will not necessarily have to miss the "big event" that they plan to keep small!
And we finally made it to Walmart to return the humidifier and get another one and I did a little shopping while I was there.
And today.... Grace and I gave Abby a bath! That went wonderful! Grace loves it when Abby shakes water all over the place and does the cutest little dance to tell Abby to shake again.
And then - we did Easter Pictures! This is Grace in her Easter Dress!
Now it's time to pick up toys, vaccum and set Speedy's present out where he can see it when he comes home. We have a basketball shoot this evening - and then dinner......
And tomorrow..... is Sesame Street Live!

Fun At The Park
Today, Grace's Grandma & Grandpa McGriff came to visit with Aunt Lydia, Aunt Maggie and Grandma Betty. After having lots of fun playing with them, we decided to get out of the house and go to the park. Grace enjoyed the swings, but I think she likes the plastic playground equipment better than she does the wooden things. Kids Zone might just be better for older and bigger kids. But the swings were fun and afterwards we went to IHOP. Grace ate really good and said, "Yum, yum" all the way to the car.

Priorities.....
Something I learned from PaPa Bill years ago was where to place priorities. They should go something like this.... #1: God, #2: Family and #3: Work or Ministry.
And right now, my daughter Heather and my beautiful grandaughter, Grace are visiting!
Grace and Heather live approxamately 8,000 miles away and I don't get to see them as often as I'd like, so, I'm trying to make the most of it!
So, thanks to all the coaches and clients who understand. Thanks to the basketball coach and the wrestling coach whose teams had to be put off. Thanks to Lisha, Colin, Caden, A.J. and Olivia who had to reschedule portrait sessions. And thanks to everyone who knows how important their kids and grand kids are and makes the most of the time they have with them.
I am loving every minute I have with Grace!
And - I can probably get your portrait sessions re-scheduled for the week of spring break or after!
Light.....
Katy choose "LIGHT" as the topic for the new contest.
So, here are the new entries! Which photo do you think defines "LIGHT". Which is the most artistic, the best composed - and basically the best picture? You get to decide! You can vote by commenting here or by e-mailing me at patty.patterson@sbcglobal.net
TIP: If you click on each collage with your mouse you can enlare the pictures to see them better.
