Sierra

Meet Sierra!
Sierra is Mathew's younger sister and she is a sweetheart! If I had to describe her in one word, it would be "good" because that fits perfectly. She's one of those lovely young girls who likes to help and is always ready to offer her services.
Isn't she beautiful!

And if I were one of those photgraphers who named my work, I would call this one
"Childhood Innocence"
I like the way the light flows in from behind the trees just enough to highlight Sierra's hair. So natural... and pure! Of course, I did have to use a little fill flash, but it was so soft and diffused I don't think it gave the portraits a "flashy" look at all.

Almor West Superstars

Abby Newport
This is one of the sweetest little girls in world. She's as well behaved as she is beautiful and I'm kind of sad to see her grow up. Today was her last T-Ball game!
Her Daddy, Robert and her Big Brother Reed are her coaches! I've been taking pictures of Abby and Reed's teams since they were playing YMCA Mighty-Mite Basketball, and it's been fun watching them grow up. It's hard to believe that Reed will be going to middle school this coming fall.

And this is the team - or rather, the players on the team who showed up this morning. They were missing a few players due to vacations and things - but they're the Allstars, so I'm sure they did just fine even though they were a few players short!

More From Clay Riley's Session

One year olds are so fun! Clay Riley's Daddy rides a motorcycle, so I borrowed this one to use as a photo prop for his pictures. I think it was perfect for him. And as long as he could sit in the cycle he was content to be in front of the camera - so it worked out well for me, also. The cake kept Clay Riley pretty busy, also. We tried a couple of other things, but it takes something pretty special to hold the attention of a one year old in a studio setting. And, Clay Riley is an expert escape artist. He walked right out of the picture numerous time, but, I think we still managed to get some very cute memories!

Happy Birthday, Clay Riley!

Today is Clay Riley's Birthday! He's One Year Old and FULL OF ENERGY! We did biker pictures, traditional one year old pictures and a cake smash!
I haven't even seen all of the pictures yet, so I'm sure I'll find others I'll want to post, but I loved this one! Isn't he cute!

Sneak Peek at Cocheran Family Photos

This morning I went on location to take pictures of the Cocheran Family. They have the cutest little boys! And they're so smart! Bryson notices every little snail, bug or creature and he is constantly discovering something. And - he doesn't appear to be afraid of anything!
Braxton moves at a slightly slower pace, but even that slightly slower pace is pretty quick for a one year old. I was amazed at how much they were capable of.

Zayden Jett Hayworth

It doesn't seem like it was that long ago when my two oldest children were playing Duck, Duck, Goose at Rainbows with this little guy's Daddy!
And then there was T-Ball, Coach Pitch and Kindergarten!
And before we knew what hit us, these kids were grown!

But - if kids didn't grow up, we wouldn't get to have GRANDKIDS! So, life is good. This little boy is the cute little grandson of the wonderful woman who taught the Rainbows class. I wonder if he likes playing Duck, Duck, Goose as much as his Daddy did?
And - I had to include this shot because, it's simply too cute. I can imagine a great big framed print of this shot hanging on a bathroom wall. What could be cuter than this 'no peeking' pose?

New Living Room Furnishings

Last Saturday, I took pictures for 7 Wee-Ball Teams and then headed to Oklahoma City to shop for furniture and this is what I found. It's a reclinging leather sofa with matching loveseat and chair. All of the pieces recline and the chair is large enough to sit two young adults so we have more seating and with the arrangement it actually appears that we have more space. I got the cresenda in Oklahoma City when I got the other pieces and then had to run to Sears in the Mall to get a new TV to match. So, I have spent much of this week accessorizing and arranging the living area during the day, and shooting baseball in the evenings. But, baseball season is almost over, so there won't be much more of that.

Bravyn Thompson

This is Bravyn Thompson! He is River's big brother and he just turned a year old. In these photos he is wearing a pair of Air Force Coveralls and he is holding the propellor of an airplane that was shot down years ago by his great grandpa, Lt. Col. Bill Patterson. I don't know the whole story, but I've had the propellor waiting for a perfect opportunity to use as a photo prop. Today, we had that opportunity. And, I think we created an heirloom. This should hang on someone's wall for years to come!

Millie's Bridals

Last night, I shot Millie's Bridals. Millie is getting married July 1oth and wants a beautiful bridal portrait to hand up at her wedding reception. So, we took several. Hopefully, she'll find one that she loves.

I like this one!

And this one!
This might be my favorite, though!
Which one do you like?

Matthew Hill #21

I put a few pictures of Matt playing baseball into a collage - and here it is.
