Alyssa is a local home schooler

who is graduating from high school!

One of her requests for senior pictures

was the Railroad Tracks!

And I just loved these! 

 Although it was not quite green outside when

these were taken, the weather cooperated

and we got beautiful light!

(when it wasn't sprinkling on us)

 Isn't she a beautiful young girl?

 We did many drafts of her annnouncment!

But.... this was her favorite!



Emily's College Graduation Pictures

It's been a busy spring season, so I haven't had many opportunities to update my blog. I've been doing basketball, soccer, graduation, family and children's portraits... and there is no way I can

post them all... so, I'll just choose a few highlights to share!

Here is Emily!

 Emily was refreshingly sweet!

She seemed like a wholesome, down to earth

young lady and there was such an honesty

to her. Just refreshing!

 She's a girl who knows who she

is and what she wants out of life....

there is nothing pretentious about her!

 I loved that!

She was a joy to work with!

 Such a pretty girl....

Pretty eyes, too!

I hope her future

is full of success!

Ashley's Senior Portraits

Meet Ashley!

She's a super fun and beautiful senior girl!

She's also a great model!

We got a variety of different poses and looks all in one fast and fun session!

I'm not exactly sure which picture is my favorite!

She's beautiful in all of them!

But, I do wish Ashley a great senior year full of memories!

And a lifetime of success!

And I have an idea that she will be successful in life!

Stephen's Announcements

Remember Stephen?

Stephen was our Senior Model. He posed for pictures for our photography class not long ago. We ran out of time in class and only got one announcement made, so I made this additional 5x7 flat card so he would have a choice.

5x7 Flat Cards are also a great option for those who'd like to save a little money, as they are much less expensive than the folded cards.

However, on folded cards, you have more room for photos and text.

We designed the 5x7 floded card below in class.

I really, REALLY like the inside!

And we really didn't have a life verse or anything so we simply made the back out of the paper used for the border on the front.

Kathryn's Announcements

Kathryn is very natural so I chose this earthtone paper for her announcement. I thought the colors blended nicely with the grass in the photo she'd selected.

Her announcement is a 5x7 folded card and this is the FRONT!

And this is her life verse on the back!
I love the rich brown scrollie paper and hope it prints beautifully!

Hannah's Announcements

This time of year a lot of people are getting ready for graduation! So, I've been busy working on graduation announcement/invites.

For Hannah's, she came over and helped, so we were able to come up with this design together. It will be a 5x7 folded card.

I blacked out her address and home phone number to protect her privacy!

I haven't seen them in print just yet, but I am hoping the finished product is BEAUTIFUL!

Stephan.... Senior 2011

This is Stephan! My photography class was studying senior portraiture and Stephan was kind enough to volunteer to model for us!

He did a great job!

Hopefully, the kids each got a few good pictures!

These pictures are some of the ones that I got. I am still waiting for some of the students to get theirs turned in!

Hannah & Justin get along great. It's great to see siblings that are so close and that genuinely love each other. I think you get that a little more in hom schooled families - as in a home schooled family your siblings are your classmates and peers, so more often than not they are also your friends!

And on the track itself, because the rails were hot and Hannah wasn't really excited about sitting on the "hot seat". So, she ended up with a dirty seat instead!

Hannah

This is Hannah! Hannah is a senior this year, but she has already accumulated a few college hours by clepping out of courses. She's also won an academic scholarship!

She's a local home schooler, and I have known her since she was a little girl!

When she was really young (and I was younger, too) she was my karate student. And then in 2008, she signed up for my photography class and she's been my photography student ever since.

She's the type of kid who would make any parent or teacher extremely proud!

She's smart, but she's also studious. She pays attention in class and engages in conversation and asks questions. She also completes her assignments ON TIME and gives careful attention to detail and it shows in her work.

And she's got excellent character!

Hannah is one of the few people in this world that I feel I could trust alone in my home with one of my grand children. I might trust my home to more than just a few people, but my grand babies are simply too precious to leave with just anyone. But if we needed a baby sitter, Hannah would most likely be our first choice.

Grace likes her, too!
