Photography Class Field Trip - Coliseum

Yesterday, our home school photography class met at the Comanche County Coliseum to take pictures of their concession items. The staff there was very impressive and totally professional. They worked very well with the students and made some really tasty things for us to photograph!

There were Hot Dogs!

And Corn Dogs!

And Cheese Sticks!

And Cheeseburgers!

Chili Cheese French Fries!
And Shrimp!

Chili Cheese Nachos!

Chicken Fried Steak!
And Freshly Fried Potato Chips!
After taking pictures of the food items, the students were allowed to sample them. They were even provided with to go boxes so they could take home what they couldn't eat! It was really a lot of fun!
I do hope to see their pictures on the concession menu in the near future!

The Arter Family

Saturday evening I went out to Medicine Park to take family portraits for the Arter Family!
I first met Brandi when I was doing Millette's Bridal Portraits. Brandi is a good friend of Millette's and came along to help her with her dress - to get in and out of the car in her dress and to do whatever was needed. Every bride needs this kind of friend.
Brandi & Jimmy

The whole family looking very relaxed!

Lots of fall color!

The girls!

The guys!

Photography Class Field Trip - Tipton's Fine Jewelry

Since JEWELRY is one of the hardest things to get great pictures of, our photography class went on a field trip to Tipton's Fine Jewelry yesterday. Each student was allowed to choose a piece of jewelry to take pictures of! These are some of their choices!
The one boy in our class chose this piece. He's got great taste and he's as much of a gentleman as they come. Someday, he may make some blessed young lady a wonderful husband. But, for now... if he were rich, this is what he's buy his Mother!
And I really liked this shot! Isn't it beautiful?
This is a custom piece and I was happy to see that Hannah captured the detail in it's craftsmanship.
And no jewelry box is complete without a string of pearls.
And guys.... flowers always look better with a little prize tucked inside!
All of this and more is available at Tipton's Fine Jewelry
in Lawton, Oklahoma!
And a special thanks goes to Mr. & Mrs. Mike Tipton for having us. We had a great time and we learned a lot!

The Rogers Family

This weekend, I did Family Portraits for the Rogers Family!

Bambi, Billy and Jayden!

Jayden is about as cute a little boys come! He's got a lot of personality, too! I'm calling this my "picture perfect, Jayden!" Doesn't he look sweet?

And here is my "Just having fun, Jayden!" Jayden was born to have fun! He's also already showing leadership qualities. He's quick to take your hand and "lead" you to where ever it is he wants you to go.

And this is my "Adventurous Jayden!" Jayden is "all boy" and always ready for a new adventure.

Ft. Sill BEARS

Last night we did pictures for the Ft. Sill BEARS! They were an energetic bunch, but they are also super cute!
And while they wait for soccer practice to start, they also have the opportunity to chase butterflies. We did their pictures beside their practice field and the bushes were covered with beautiful Monarch Butterflies.
I couldn't get one to cooperate and open it's wings, but I did get a couple of nice butterfly shots.

I haven't seen any Monarchs in my butterfly garden at home, so I was happy to see these. This told me there are Monarch's around - so maybe next year?

Ft. Sill Thunder

Last night we did team pictures for Ft. Sill THUNDER! I've done their pictures for years, only this time they have new jerseys and a new team name.
This is a great bunch of kids! They also have some of the best coaches around!

And - I got a bit creative and made a new "lightning" background for their team collage. I thought it went well with the team name "Thunder".
