Last Thursday was a beautiful spring like day, so Grace and I decided to have a picnic.I have a new bicycle trailer so we loaded up and went to the pond.
Abby followed!
Normally when I go to the pond with Abby, she stays out of the water. But, Grace was having great fun throwing sticks into the pond.... and then telling Abby to "get it!" As nice as the weather was I'm sure Abby was thrilled to have an excuse to hop in!
We saw Canadian Geese. These two were there the entire time, but while we were picnicking an entire flock flew in and landed on the pond.
Here is Grace enjoying her lunch. She told me she likes eating outside.

And here is Abby all wet. By the time we got home we were wet, too. But... I guess that doesn't matter since if we'd been dry we would have gotten wet anyway when giving Abby a bath!
And here is little Gracie in her cowgirl clothes and boots being a country girl. She loved the pond. Some day they are supposed to be building a park in that area, but I think she likes if just the way it is. What could be more fun than a picnic and throwing sticks in the water for your dog to fetch?

Aww...what a fun day with Gracie & Abby. You go to ponds and share nature in it's rawest, and purest, form to your granddaughter- I go to Starbucks and share people jibber-jabbering over coffee...lol...I think your Granddaughter gets a better deal! lol Hugs- Diana
