My photography class did newborn portraits Thursday and this is one of my favorite shots.

Brilyn at One Month!

Brilyn got Monthly Stickers to stick onto onsies each month to do monthly pictures with from her Aunt Heather. So, she came by Wednesday to take a monthly photo.

So, here she is at ONE MONTH!

We plan to do her monthly pictures in the same box, so we can sort of see how much she's grown each month.

Jayden

This is Jayden!
Jayden is pretty much all boy and he normally does not like posing for pictures. He seems to have much more important things to do!
He likes to play!

So, by combining his active personality with an active photo shoot, I was able to get cute pictures with happy smiles!

Of course, the tire swung a little too close to the light from time to time - which caused and occasional image to be over exposed. But, for the most part this was a perfect shoot for such an active little guy!

I had fun.... he had fun.... and Grace helped out by pushing the swing so she even had fun! Then we went to Nations of Fun for even more fun!

Life is short, so we should cram as much fun into it as possible!

Enjoying the Sunshine

Last Thursday was a beautiful spring like day, so Grace and I decided to have a picnic.

I have a new bicycle trailer so we loaded up and went to the pond.

Abby followed!

Normally when I go to the pond with Abby, she stays out of the water. But, Grace was having great fun throwing sticks into the pond.... and then telling Abby to "get it!" As nice as the weather was I'm sure Abby was thrilled to have an excuse to hop in!

We saw Canadian Geese. These two were there the entire time, but while we were picnicking an entire flock flew in and landed on the pond.

Here is Grace enjoying her lunch. She told me she likes eating outside.

Yummy!

And here is Abby all wet. By the time we got home we were wet, too. But... I guess that doesn't matter since if we'd been dry we would have gotten wet anyway when giving Abby a bath!

And here is little Gracie in her cowgirl clothes and boots being a country girl. She loved the pond. Some day they are supposed to be building a park in that area, but I think she likes if just the way it is. What could be more fun than a picnic and throwing sticks in the water for your dog to fetch?

Brilyn at Three Weeks

I got to keep Brilyn Monday while her Mommy went to their new house to get some painting done. I had planned to take pictures, but Brilyn didn't want me to put her down, so I only took three. Her Mommy brought her back Tuesday and we tried again.

And Brilyn cooperated!

Here she is posing perfectly in a special picture to surprise her Daddy.

This is his first guitar with his firstborn!

We still didn't take that many pictures, but really, we don't need many. We just need one masterpiece from each session and when I saw this, I knew we had gotten it!

I'm sure her Daddy will love it!

Love Should Last a Lifetime.....

This lovely couple will soon be celebrating 50 years of marriage!

I'm grateful that we have couples like this who are able to demonstrate lasting love and a solid marriage. That's getting quite rare in this day and age.
And I would guess that this couple has been together awhile, too!

And just look at them. They're still radiant with that glow that only love brings.

So.... no matter what statistics tell us, it's still possible to have a loving marriage that lasts a lifetime. We've just seen proof!

St. John's Missionary Baptist Church Sweetheart Day

This woman is absolutely beautiful. She always wears the perfect dress with perfect accessories to match! And she wears them well. She is so immaculately groomed, you'd expect her to be royalty.

But then, aren't all of God's children princes and princesses? What else would you call a Child of THE KING?

Maybe she just knows who she is IN CHRIST and dresses the part?

She is an incredibly sweet lady and I always love seeing her in her latest outfit. Don't you think she's just BEAUTIFUL?

St. John's Missionary Baptist Church Sweetheart Day

Saturday night was the SJMBC Sweetheart Celebration!

We've done their pictures now for several years and it's always a lot of fun!

This couple is always the life of the party!
Not only do they look great together, they get along like a couple of inseparable pals on a school playground. What a blessing it must be for them to be married to their best friend!

And I'll be posting more pictures from St. John's throughout the week!

Nations of Fun!

I happened to have the day off today, and wanted to do something fun!

And - Grace came by early this morning with her first Starbuck's drink!
I asked if she wanted to go to Nations of Fun, and of course, she said "Yes!

Nations of Fun is probably Lawton's best attraction for little ones. It has a huge indoor playground - great for cold winter days!

Grace can crawl through these things with great skill!

She had soooooo much fun!

Today..... she learned to go down the big blue slides ALL BY HERSELF!!!! Yay!!!!

And look at her go...... climbing the ropes!

And riding the horsey!

Her cheeks are red from exertion. And he mouth is open because she is singing!

Uncle Billy came to play, too!

I think she's checking out Uncle Billy's noisy radio, here. He's a fire fighter, so he's always on call and doesn't go anywhere without it!

Brilyn likes it best when Daddy is holding her. She even lights up when she hears his voice!

And I think this might be my favorite. It shows how much this Mommy and Daddy adore their little girl.
